How many years does it take for the PMS in Spain?
For larga duración, it takes five years of legal continuous residence in Spain before application (arts. 176 and 183) [1]. Exit for up to six consecutive months does not violate continuity, if in total they do not exceed ten months in five years (up to eighteen when leaving for work) [1]For UE, the educational estancia is counted at 50% if the applicant is already in the residence at the time of the submission; in article 183 for the national larga duración, we did not find such a reservation. [1].
There are special cases without five years: old age or disability pension from Seguridad Social, birth in Spain (with additional conditions), former Spanish citizens, stateless persons and refugees [1]UE requires additional regular income and health insurance [1].
For DNV, three years by law and two years by extension, five years, but the explicit indication that this period is at larga duración, we didn't find: DNV extension after three years.
