- First the right to work, then the right to search.:: Any foreigner over 16 years of age needs prior residence and work permits for paid employment (art. 36 Ley Orgánica 4/2000) [1].
- DNV only permits remote work for a foreign company, and the estancia study in higher education allows work up to 30 hours a week [2][3].
- For people without the right to work, the way is through the employer: he applies, for professions outside the SEPE catalogue, he needs an employment service certificate on the shortage of candidates [2].
- Official resources: SOC (Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya) and Feina Activa, Empleate of SEPE, EUROS network. Foreigners with NIEs linked to residence permits are registered with SOC via operator [4][5][6].
- The employer, not the intermediary, shall apply for the permit for the applicant ’s money: the law places this on the employer (art. 36.4) [1].

Where to look for work: official resources
We call it state and European resources and don't advertise commercial sites, what they give, they're taken from their pages.
- SOC, Servei Públic d'Ocupació de Catalunya. Registration as a demandante d'ucupació is free and voluntary and provides access to vocational training, guidance, practice programmes and vacancies run by SOC Labour Offices. Foreigners with NIEs linked to residence permits may request registration by the SOC (930,886,200, on a Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) Labour office operators will help [4].
- Feina Activa. The Generalitet's candidate portal: In SOC's section "Ofertes de treball", the link is to Feina Activa; the portal has orientation, resources, job demand registration, labour market information and EURES network. [4][5].
- SEPE, Empléate. The Public Employment Service offers the Empleate portal, where offers from companies and candidates interact freely and free of charge [6].
- EURES. European Economic Area Employment Services Cooperation Network: information and guidance, job offers and labour market data by country [7][10].
- Agencias de colocación. Public or private organizations that facilitate the employment of unemployed persons; the regime is set up by Ley 3/2023 (art. 43) and Real Decreto 1796/2010, and is connected to the Employment Services Information System [9].
SOC does not specify which documents will be requested by the alien when registering: this is worth checking with the operator before the call and not expecting registration to replace the right to work [4]Registration with the employment service does not give the right to work: it is only authorized [1].
What if you don't have the right to work yet?
The job search is limited: you can study the market, collect documents and discuss proposals, but you cannot start work until the permit comes into effect. Practically the way is through the employer you are suitable for.
- The employer checks the national labour market: the profession in the catalogue of difícil cobertura from SEPE or the employment service certificate, which is not suitable for the job. [2].
- He signs you a contract, the date of the start is tied to the entry into force of the permit, and he applies to Catalonia through Generalita. [2].
- You apply for a visa within a month of the decision, then an alta at Seguridad Social and TIE [2].
Completely described in article as an employer to employ an alienThe following blue map is available for specialists with higher education and a six-month contract: EU Blue Card in SpainSome categories are exempted from labour market inspection, such as re-united family members of working age and Spanish children; list in article 40 of the Aliens Act [1].
If you live in Spain as a non-right to work, e.g. no lucrativa, you can be guided by article 191 of the Reglamento: you can move to work without a visa, after a year of residence, conditions are softer. [2]On this point: no lucrativa: what is prohibited.
Summary and preparation of documents for the Barcelona work
The law does not specify the format of the summary, so it is more the wording of the recommendation than the standard, and in the summary for an employer in Spain it is useful to state in the first line your status and right to work: the employer immediately understands whether he needs a permit application; add a place of residence, languages and education with a reference to whether a degree is recognized in Spain; for regulated occupations, the law makes admission to work dependent on a recognized qualification. Diploma and, if required by the rules of the profession, membership in the panel [1][2]For educational documents from Russia, Belarus or Kazakhstan, prepare apostille and a juror translation: apostille and legalization and juror transfer.
What language is needed, which language is the job, which is not the only language requirement for recruitment, which information about the percentage of vacancies in Barcelona held by Russian speakers, which is not available in official sources, and which figures are not available.
What is to be checked in the job offer and the contract?
The labour relationship regulates Estatututo de los Trabajadores and the collective agreement of the industry. [8]:
- Form and type of contract. The contract may be oral, but for a number of cases, such as a fixed-term contract longer than four weeks, a written form is required, as for workers who work remotely; without written form it is considered to be indefinite and full-time unless otherwise proven. [8].
- Time limit. The contract is presumed to be indefinite, fixed-term only for the circumstances of the production or for replacement [8].
- Trial. Established in writing; no longer than six months in collective agreement for certified technicians and two months for others, and less than 25 employees in companies up to three months for non-technical technicians [8].
- Pay and time. Two additional payments per year, which the collective agreement may distribute for 12 months, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week per year average, at least 30 calendar days of leave [8].

How to Avoid Intermediators and Fake Proposals
Certain features that are apparent from the law: an employer applies for permission and must have a continuing employment contract [1]So the offer of "contract visa" when you pay for someone else's application is not in accordance with the law. [1]Simulation of employment relations for the purpose of obtaining a right of residence also constitutes a very serious violation [1].
Practical checks: Ask for the formal contract form, company name and NIF, and make sure the company exists and is in the process of applying; do not pass the original passports and the payment data before signing; do not pay for the "employment guarantee." If the meaning of the transaction is unclear, stop and consult a lawyer.
Typical mistakes in finding work by a foreigner
- Starts before the permit comes into force [1][2].
- DNV and work permit are being run: DNV does not allow Spanish employers to work [3].
- Send a summary without specifying the status and the right to work.
- Do not check whether a diploma is recognized for a regulated profession [1].
- Accepted for a trial period longer than the law and collective agreement allow [8].
- Paying the broker for the "working visa" [1].
